From Knowledge Work to Public Science

When it comes to
satisfying our innate physical needs, we do not require content; when we are
hungry, we want food in sufficient quantity to get satisfied. Similarly when
in the evolution (E) of things, something has to be organized in a human
system, we ask for a manager with position power (P), who can put the problem across
with a decision how to solve it, as a matter that
needs no further discussion. When we are confronted with basic causes and
the whole that is greater than ourselves in its basic laws,
then ignorance and inadequate
knowledge give rise to evil and then there is no way to interfere with any of our usual
smartness.
Philosophy introduced this realm in terms of subjects dealing with objects
after those who did it any way, brought society to a level, where some
could discuss about such matters. Mathematics made it practical, and
Physics
reconciled it with the content-free Laws of Nature to allow for content-free
technology; to be
freely used at the disposition of any
subject who can pay for it with content-free money.

system, such as a relationship (parents wanting a child),
a team (in earning its living), an organization
(justifying its power), an enterprise (competing in the
market), a nation or a culture (securing its
values), need some kind of consensus, it has to be negotiated to make
the deal sustainable enough with a personal neutral content to prevent its fragmentation
through short-term egoism. Motives to form and influence relationships
and higher order, collective human systems stem from real and imagined personal inadequacies,
a sense of altruism, simple greed for power or the hope of allowing others to work to get
their just rewards. Personal-neutrality has its demands, virtues, merits and pitfalls, but
it can at best be one aspect of one's life-fulfillment, which of course
also requires our genuine contribution to that of our fellow-creatures. Similarly
personal life
cannot be reduced to
content-free technology, or
explained by evolution (E), even if we all enjoy the resulting short-term
simplifications and the increasing ways to enhance life through man-made systems; we also
suffer from their wide-spread misuse of position power (P)
in the name of a collective.
When the
objects of a subject become a human system, people have to be
infotained in order to remain under the control of the system, available
to the system wardens as an object to rule. Therefore men convince women of
their love, and vice versa, to get their content-free needs met. Leaders,
from dictators to local politicians, basically talk their
target group into
conviction. And, if necessary, they use war as an extension of diplomacy to gain
majority, loyalty and thereby compliance with the reference points in
mind (benchmarks) to get their hidden agenda met. And that even at the cost of losing orientation about what is meaningful and
what not. This might lead to physical forms of humiliation, frustration, betrayal and
revenge, that marked the last century in its lack of proper
and sustainable
orientation points.

mass-attractive
forms#0, bread and circus, to allow the outer
