Some Marks on the timeline...

Bernadette was the first human being who made me experience in 1979 how we are all connected together. She encouraged me to leave my comfortable job in cryptology, which had become increasingly meaningless the more I began to realize who I really was. However, on a technical level, that job had allowed me to experience synergy in marvelous ways. Bernadette shared my first eight years of research wht I called the "Cognitive Informatics". With many sacrifices she made me get in touch with many human experiences so far outside the range of my personality. That provided the bases upon which I was able to build my insights into human systems into the system of what is now Applied Personal Science APS®. It provides an all encompassing framework that allows conscious humans to "walk in another man's shoes for a mile", before judging. With integrity Bernadette even helped point me in directions which were painful for her so that the work could go on. With Bernadette my dream of being able to be with other human beings in real synergy became partially true again. During that time I was able to work with many more people, like "Momo" (Marianne Betschart), who all contributed, in their way. Bernadette finally pointed to my way out of partial synergy, in order to go for synergy on a wider level.

Not being able to find life-fulfillment in a meaningless job, or in partial synergy, I began looking for whatever solutions were already available in our culture, and in other parts of the world. This search brought me to Japan in 1985 and back to Australia in 1986 where I had studied many years before. It was there I had the opportunity to understand how the rational and the collective mind works. There were a lot of shocking news in that for me which I could only bear by trying to motivate people like Rosalind, Kathryn and Neville and be encouraged by them. They made me aware of the limit of so called "positive thinking" and "mindpower"; the humanistic approaches based on generalized denotations. Mind power tends to blind people to who they truly are and this realization overpowered me for quite a while! It took some weeks in bed, because of a serious illness, to sort out what mind power is and what not. The I met my wife Diane.

Back in Switzerland in 1987 I met the people in business who challenged APS, like Jean-Marc and Rainer, who were courageous enough to try out framing human cooperation with APS®. I acknowledge them together with Peter Wieland and Werner Schmidt, and all those‚ who helped in giving APS® a form, in which business can be at its best, by integrating human resources with knowledge and material resources in order to allow the life-fulfillment of as many as possible. From 1991 onwards Roger Zamofing was an accompanying friend with whom I tried out various concepts also in Germany.

And last, but not least, I am grateful to Markus Liniger and his family for many supportive hours as well as for many challenges. Since I thus put the material together with my wife Diane back in 1988-1992 some years have past where we worked on making it practical. Through Ted Sandercock in Adelaide, in 1996 we got in touch with the brain model and this provides a new way to introduce APS® in terms of the forms of intelligence.
